Koç University MBA program was founded in 1993 to provide a comprehensive business education involving a rigorous and innovative curriculum taught by world class faculty. It is designed to include the best features of MBA programs offered at major universities worldwide. The language of instruction is English.

The primary objective of the Koç MBA program is to provide knowledge, insight and skills for future global leaders who will influence changes in organizations and communities they are involved in. Koç MBA graduates will be business leaders of the future in charge of effective organizations which are market driven, globally aware, socially responsible and where decision making is based on information with a strategic focus. Our graduates are prepared for a wide array of careers ranging from general management to specialized fields including investment banking, marketing management and supply chain management. Admission Requirements

In order to apply to the MBA Programme, the applicants must complete the online application (https://apply.ku.edu.tr/gradapp) and upload the following;

  • GMAT/GRE/Koç Admission Test (KAT) scores
  • Average GMAT Score of the MBA Class 2018-2019: 560
  • An official academic transcript from every university attended
  • Three essays as specified
  • Application fee payment slip
  • A written statement of corporate support for part-time applicants
  • TOEFL/IELTS and ALES scores can also be uploaded if available

Two Reference Letters should be submitted for the application. The candidate should provide the contact information of those who will fill in the reference letters in the online application. They will be provided with the web link of the reference letter form via e-mail. All qualified applicants will be called for an interview by the Graduate School of Business. The candidates will be given a business case to read right before the interview and will be asked to answer questions related to the case as a part of the interview process. For both programmes, the Admission Committee consists of Graduate School of Business Executive Director, Programme Manager and Programme Coordinator. The committee makes the final admission decision on a consensus basis.

All Koç University programmes are in English and the official language of the MBA programme is English. The admission interview is conducted in English. The candidates are given a business case in English to read and are expected to answer questions about the case during the interview. Standardized tests such as TOEFL/IELTS may also be required in case admission committee finds it necessary.

The number of exchange schools has increased considerably over the years, reaching over 100 institutions in academic year 2012-2013. In both 12-month and 24-month MBA Programs, students who wish to go for an exchange semester and who are in good academic standing may extend their studies by one semester at no additional cost. The programs that are available for the following fall semester are announced in the spring semester each year.

Graduation Requirements and Curriculum

Students need to have completed all courses on their curriculum with a passing letter grade in order to graduate and also satisfy the below requirements:

  • Complete 50 credits
  • Have a minimum of 3.00/4.00 GPA by the end of the programme
  • Submit a graduation project to Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK)

Core Courses: 9 core courses of 3 credits and 2 core courses of 1,5 credits

Elective Courses: Modular MBA: 6 or more elective courses (3 credits each)

MBA: 4 or more elective courses (3 credits each)
