The Vehbi Koç Foundation (VKV), which is intensively active in the fundamental needs of life such as education, health and culture areas since its inception, founded Koç University.
Koç University started education at its temporary campus in Istinye in 1993 and moved permanently to its main campus at Rumelifeneri by 2000.
The principle mission of Koç University is to cultivate Turkey’s most competent graduates, well-rounded adults who are internationally qualified; who can think creatively, independently and objectively; and who are confident leaders. Concurrently, research conducted at Koç University contributes to scientific development on an international scale and bolsters technological, economic and social development.
