Examination of literary texts from Africa, South Asia, the Caribbean, and the Middle East in the light of theoretical works by Spivak, Fanon, Said and Ngugi. Particular focus on key issues in postcolonial theory such as nationalism, language, race, subjectivity, and diaspora.
