This course aims to provide the student with the knowledge and skills in the fields of prevention, early diagnosis and effective management of diabetes.
In this course, it is aimed for the student to develop his/her philosophy of nursing education, and achieve information, skill and attitude related to the principles, methods and planning that are used in the education of ‘Fundamentals of Nursing’. Within the scope of the course, nursing education with its historical development process, the philosophy of education, philosophy of nursing education, development of training programs, The Course of Fundamentals of Nursing, training methods and techniques, properties of the trainer, methods for the evaluation of success, and clinical practices are focused on.
In this course the students will assess the status of child workers, children living in the street, abused children, disabled children, delinquent children, and chronically-ill children.
In this course the student will discuss the effects of the nature of knowledge underlying epistemological and ontological assumptions, laws, culture and gender roles on the old, current and future theories of psychiatric nursing based on scientific research. The students are expected to develop their own points of view in line with the theory.
The student will examine current topics in nursing using different perspectives and analytical methods and discuss new problem-solving approaches. Clinical decision-making and healthcare systems in medical nursing, strategy development to solve the problems, innovations, nursing care models, chronic diseases and improvement of life quality and health policies of Türkiye (i.e. socialization in health care, current health policies) will be discussed in this course.
The aim of this course is to help students understand the concept of maintaining and improving public health; to be able to discuss behavior-specific health protection and health promotion models as well as solution strategies.
This course provides the students with the competences to provide care for the surgical and geriatric patient having endocrine and nervous system problems with systematic approach by using knowledge of the main concepts and principles used in nursing care, evidence-based and practical knowledge current knowledge specific to field of surgical (patient safety, surgical site infection, accelerated recovery protocol, economics in surgery, application of homeostasis and homeostatic principles to patient care), informatics and care technologies; to evaluate and report the effects of given nursing care; to develop new ideas by following the development of surgical nursing in Türkiye and the world.
In this course, it is aimed for the student to understand the concept and components of care, the relationship of care-science-art, changing process in the philosophy of care and factors having a role within this process. In the course; the concept of care, components of nursing care, and approaches of care, factors influencing care, nursing care in respect to science and art, and innovations related to care are found.
This course provides the students with the management process, contemporary health and nursing services management, organization, management functions, roles and responsibilities of the manager nurse, professional and legal obligations, management and leadership theories, effective and efficient use of nursing management resources, problem solving and decision making, change management, innovation, leadership-power concepts, nursing management models, principles required in the management of nursing care environment, quality and accreditation, creating a positive working environment.
This course provides the students with the human resources management process in healthcare institutions, principles of nurse human resource management, determining nurse staffing needs and scheduling, staff recruitment and retention, placement, orientation, development, nursing care delivery systems and performance appraisal, career development, management of problem personnel, legal regulations, human resources addresses the roles of manager nurses in the efficient and effective use of resources.

Main objective of this course is to teach the role of the endocrine system in controlling all systems of the body, with coordination with the nervous system. The similarities and the differences between the nervous and the endocrine systems with regard to the control of homeostasis will be analyzed. This class will focus on glandular secretions, the major endocrine glands and hormone-producing tissues and how their hormones govern body activities, metabolism and energy balance, control growth and development, and regulate operation of reproductive systems. This class aims to give an essential basic knowledge of endocrine physiology. On completion of this course the students will be aware of the effect of each hormone on its targeted tissue. The students will be able to explain negative and positive feedback mechanisms of hormones.
